Explore Histories

The visualization to the left shows a collection of featured histories. You can search to find additional histories.

Each history is represented as a light blue timeline, with the collection of histories arranged in a circle. The dark blue circles on the history timelines represent individual events. In search results, yellow circles represent events that matched your query. The earliest events are closest to the center of the circle, and the most recent events are around the circle's perimeter. You can zoom in on a particular time range of interest by using the time slider beneath the visualization.

You can click on the timelines to view them in more detail. The detailed timelines will replace this help text. You can select several histories at a time to compare them, and you can click on the events within each column to see their full description and media. Click the title link at the top of each history column or the "View History" button at the bottom to read the whole history.
